Renault F1-vrachtwagen crasht op weg naar de Hongaarse Grand Prix

Renault’s Hungarian Grand Prix did not get off to a good start when one of the team’s trucks crashed off the road in Hungary.

The truck was on its way to Budapest for the next racing round in the Formula 1 championship. The articulated vehicle drove near Gyor off the highway – no other vehicles were involved and the driver escaped serious injury.

Renault’s F1 team gave no details about the truck’s content, one of many used for the European races. These trucks tend to transport everything from tools and cables to motorbikes and racing cars.

Even before the crash, the luck of Renault had not been very great. After a weekend in Hockenheim to forget where it couldn’t score points and dropped to sixth place, the last thing it needed was to lose a team truck.
