Nieuwe Volvo FH om brandstofkosten met 7% te verlagen

For everyone who regularly travels a lot of kilometers, the fuel consumption of vehicles must be a point of attention. That is why Volvo Trucks is launching the Volvo FH with I-Save as a way to offer its customers more efficiency. The combination of a D13TC engine and fuel-saving functions can reduce fuel costs over long distances by up to 7%.

The demand for lorries that travel long distances is increasing, but that also applies to diesel prices, which means that profits suffer.

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, said about the new truck: “It is a complete solution that combines our latest technology to significantly reduce fuel consumption in long-distance operations. And without compromising on driving characteristics.”

The D13TC is the most energy-efficient long-distance engine from Volvo Trucks. It features specially designed pistons that direct heat and energy to the center of the cylinders and use excess energy from exhaust gases to drive the engine. It produces an additional 300 Nm of torque, requires less acceleration, and requires fuel to maintain a stable pace.

The new Volvo FH with I-Save is designed for customers who drive more than 120,000 km per year. The promise is that the further they drive, the more they can save.
